Two women stand close together in a room with a bed. One appears pregnant and is leaning on the bed, while the other woman, wearing a headscarf, touches her belly and they both have gentle expressions.

Meet Brittany

Hi, I'm Brittany (she/her/ella). Birthworker and Reproductive Justice advocate. Doula & Student Midwife. People lover & nurturer, solo dance party-er, esoteric explorer, and many other things. San Diegan with a passion for reproductive health and advocacy. In a country that is continually removing the rights of our individual bodily autonomy, I believe all people should have accessibility to doulas and trauma informed care. We deserve to feel safe: emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. I am here to ensure that with compassionate care and unwavering support throughout your reproductive journey that is centered on you and all your uniqueness. My goal is to be a trusted safe space for all birthing people and assist in the amplification of your personal power.

VIDA birth + womb was created as tribute to not only my passion for the service of birthwork, but my family. And my raised belief that la vida is precious: equally full of laughter and tears, but we must savor it all through supportive community that reminds us of our personal strength. That our chosen people are the best medicine.

Birth is vulnerable and sacred and should be protected as that. I understand that reproductive journeys do not occur independent of social context and I’m aware of how institutions may disadvantage or oppress families, especially those belonging to marginalized groups. This space, and my support, is unequivocally pro-queer, pro-trans, pro-Black, pro-brown, pro-sex worker, pro-immigrant, pro-neurodiversity and pro-abortion. It is trauma-informed, intersectional, and deeply committed to harm reduction.
